Dr Manjit Bola is a Health Psychologist, and has over twenty years of teaching and research experience. She has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students in several Universities. Her main areas of interest include qualitative research methods, health, race and gender issues. She has led on a number of Community Engagement courses delivered on national basis, as well as conducting research in Social inclusion and Connected Communities.
Dr Bola is currently working on a 5-year Connected Communities Project together with the RSA. This action research project will analyse how different interventions build and sustain individual’s personal networks. By doing so it will demonstrate and explore how the community dimension of people’s lives contributes to well-being and how it can be developed through a variety of activities.
