Academic Centre Administrator – International Summer Programmes and Lifelong Learning Division

2 x Full-time, Fixed Term posts (for two years)

1 x Part-time (0.5 FTE) Maternity Cover post

Salary: £22,214 – £25,728 pa

The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) delivers high quality and distinctive educational programmes for adult learners, predominantly studying on a part-time basis, for either personal enrichment or professional development. ICE aims to ensure that the expertise and resources of the University of Cambridge are made available to all students, irrespective of their previous educational achievements.

We wish to appoint three Academic Centre Administrators: Two full-time posts on two year fixed term contracts: The funds for these posts are available for two years in the first instance.

One part time (0.5 FTE) Maternity cover: this post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder whichever is earlier. Internal applications are welcome from University of Cambridge employees seeking a secondment opportunity.

The post holders will provide administrative support to the Academic Centre Coordinators and Heads of Academic Centre Administration within the International Summer Programmes and Lifelong Learning Division.

The successful candidates will have excellent organisational, IT and interpersonal skills with an innovative approach to developing and improving processes and delivery. S/he will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential.
