Requirements

Applicants are assessed and accepted on the basis that they have:

  1. at least a 2.i honours degree from a UK university or an equivalent standard from an overseas institution;
  2. a minimum of three years' work experience;
  3. demonstrable enthusiasm and/or aptitude for sustainability leadership;
  4. good ability in written and spoken English;
  5. endorsement from your employer or, if independent, from an organisation that will be the focus of your work on the programme;
  6. access to appropriate computer technology and internet software; and
  7. the ability to pay the course fees or to identify a sponsoring institution.

Application notes

Please note:

  1. Exceptional candidates who do not meet the above standard academic requirements may be considered, based on the ability to demonstrate suitability for postgraduate study through professional and other attainments. The submission of a GMAT or GRE score may be useful for supporting your case (achieving at least the 50th percentile in every sub-score e.g. verbal, quants in a single test).
  2. Completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business (PCSB) or the Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Value Chains (PCSVC) successfully does not negate the need to satisfy the above requirements; however the results can potentially be used to support the admission of 'non-standard' candidates if, typically, at least a B grade is achieved.

Language requirement

  • IELTS Academic: Overall score of 7.5 (a minimum of 7.0 in each individual component)
  • TOEFL Internet: Overall score of 110 (a minimum of 25 in each individual component)
  • CAE: Grade A or B (with at least 193 in each individual element) plus a Language Centre assessment
  • CPE: Grade A, B, or C (with at least 200 in each individual element)

Selection process

Applications are considered as they are received (rolling admissions). Applicants should expect to receive a decision on the outcome of their application within 12 weeks.
