LLB and Diploma in Law Revision Programme

This five-day programme provides in-depth, structured lectures for LLB or Diploma in Law students revising for their examinations. Central to the programme are core subjects prescribed by the legal profession in England and Wales and which are also essential to the syllabuses for the LLB and Diploma in Law qualifications.

Please note that we will not be offering this course in 2015.

About the programme

This programme is open to LLB and Diploma in Law students, and offers:

  • structured revision lectures in a number of subjects
  • six hours of lectures per subject over five days from Monday 24 to Friday 28 March 2014 inclusive.

The timetable of subjects for 2014 includes: common law reasoning & institutions, contract law, criminal law, EU law, land law, public law, law of torts and law of trusts.

Please note: the deadline for applications has been extended until Monday 10 March 2014

Students will enjoy:

Course fees

You may choose any combination of subjects, from a minimum of two courses to a maximum of four:

  • 2 subjects: £650
  • 3 subjects: £875
  • 4 subjects: £1,100

Kindly note that this includes a non-refundable deposit of £200, and does not include accommodation. Refer to Policy 1 of our Fee and refund policy for further information.

Please note also that we have ensured that compulsory finals courses and Diploma courses do not clash with each other; however we cannot guarantee that an optional finals course or additional option will not clash with your personal plan. We are unable to make changes to the timetable for individual choices, therefore, please check the timetable carefully before you book.


Accommodation for those who wish to stay in a Cambridge college will be at Selwyn College, just a short walk from the Faculty of Law.

All accommodation will be en-suite and on a full-board basis as follows:

  • Option A: Full board, 6 nights (23-29 March): £560
  • Option B: Full board, 5 nights (24-29 March): £480
  • Option C: Full board, 4 nights (24-28 March): £385
  • Option D: Non-resident: course fee only

Virtual Learning Environment

We will be able to offer you access to our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), which will enable you to interact with your fellow students in the ICE online common room. Access to the VLE will be available to students two weeks prior to the start of the programme, throughout the duration and two weeks after the programme has ended. Kindly note that this resource will only become available to you once you have registered and paid your fees in full.

Computing facilities at the University

Once enrolled you will have automatic access to the use of computer facilities during your stay, which will enable you to have the use of computers and printing facilities on the Sidgwick Site, and at various other sites within the university.
