The two-year, part-time Certificate of Higher Education in Historic Building Conservation offers an introduction to the philosophy and practice of historic building conservation, with an emphasis on developing an understanding of the traditional crafts involved.

Fee

The fee for this two-year course is £5,000 (£2,500 per year). The fee covers the provision of course information and transport for many of the site visits. Where transport is not provided, students are normally responsible for their own travelling expenses and any entry fees.

The fees are paid annually and can be paid in one of two ways:

  • if paying in full for each year, payment for the first year is made on acceptance of a place on the course and for the second year, by 1 September 2018
  • if paying in instalments, the first instalment is made on acceptance of a place on the course and the remaining seven instalments on 1 November 2017, 1 February 2018, 1 April 2018, 1 September 2018, 1 November 2018, 1 February 2019, 1 April 2019.

Students who must leave this two-year course at the end of the first year may not be required to pay the second-year fees. However, students who leave the course mid-year are liable for the full fee for that year.
