From Novella to Opera: Death in Venice

"Ambiguous Venice, where water is married to stone, and passion confuses the senses". Words from a libretto by Myfanwy Piper based on a short story by Thomas Mann, set to music by Benjamin Britten. Author, bibrellist and composer coalesce to produce a 20th Century masterpiece.
This course carries credit points under the nationally recognised Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme (CATS). We offer a flexible, part-time route to academic qualification. For further details see the section ' Qualifications and awards'.
