A weekend course, held entirely in French, focused on various topics illustrated through literature and art, often related to present cultural events, and aimed at language improvement. The texts, chosen from a wide range of classic and modern writers, will be used as a basis for discussion throughout the sessions. A variety of audio-visual documents will enlighten the weekend theme and expand the knowledge of French culture. These advanced courses are designed for those with a good mastery of French and all the students will be expected to undertake prior reading to actively participate in the course.
Unless otherwise stated, teaching and assessment for ICE courses is in English. Students for whom English is not their first language should refer to the Competence in the English Language Policy for further guidance.
