Because of the impact worldwide of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the 2020 International Summer Programmes have been replaced by the Virtual Summer Festival of Learning
The laws of classical physics work well when describing the behaviour of everyday objects but break down when looking at physics at the smallest scales, or at objects travelling close to the speed of light. This course covers the development and main concepts in the two pillars of modern physics: Quantum mechanics and special relativity.
