Many people have heard of Prince Rupert (1619-1682) as the dashing Royalist and cavalry commander during the English Civil War. But what happened to him afterwards? This day school will explore his subsequent career as a Royalist privateer who journeyed to west Africa and the Caribbean, as a founder member of the Royal Society after 1660, as a Lord High Admiral during the Third Dutch War, and much else.
