Institute of Continuing Education (ICE)

Our Creative Writing Retreat held at the Institute's stunning 16th-century mansion, Madingley Hall, is designed for those who ‘just want to write’ in supportive and welcoming surroundings. This is the perfect opportunity to finish (or perhaps start) that writing project, a chance to give yourself the time and space to think and write in an environment ideally suited to your creative needs.

The total cost of the retreat is £850 which covers tuition, accommodation, meals and refreshments. We regret that it is not possible to attend the retreat as a non-residential guest.

Fees

The fee of £850 covers the accommodation, meals and refreshments, as well as the optional tuition (morning workshops) during the Retreat. We regret that it is not possible to attend the retreat as a non-residential guest. At the time of booking, please select overnight accommodation from Saturday 4 July to Friday 10 July 2020 (check-out on Friday 10th).

If you do not wish to pay in full at the time of booking, you may pay a 15% registration fee as a deposit by credit/debit card. The balance will automatically be taken two weeks before the start of the course. If you wish to pay by cheque, you will need to pay in full when the booking is made.

Please note that 1:1 supervisions incur an additional charge of £65 per hour and can be booked, subject to availability, after enrolment on the course via the VLE, or during the course of the Retreat itself. The 1-1 supervisions will be charged to your room bill, to be paid for at the end of the Retreat.

Payment

Payment is by credit/debit card unless otherwise arranged. You can either pay in full at the time of booking, or pay a 15% registration fee as a deposit; the balance will automatically be taken two weeks before the start of the course.
