This course is designed for medical, dental and healthcare professionals who support learning in clinical environments as part of their professional role. It offers a practical introduction to important educational principles and models relating to adult education and how these apply to teaching, supervising or supporting learners in their workplaces.

The course aims to develop participants’ ability both to deliver their clinical teaching and to accumulate insight into the scholarship, research and professional values required of medical educators.

The course is being approved by the Academy of Medical Educators at Associate Fellowship level and participants who complete this course can apply directly to the AOME. https://www.medicaleducators.org/Membership-Grades

The course is funded by Health Education England East of England which includes Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. We regret that the course is not open to professionals who are employed outside this geographical area. Please see entry requirements tab for further information.

Assessment and Qualifications

This course does not offer a formal qualification and you will not be required to submit an assessment. However you will be required to provide evidence of participation via an online reflective log and attend 100% of sessions to achieve a Certificate of Attendance.

Please note that unless you attend all the sessions in full, you will not be awarded a Certificate.
