It is a little known fact that the long reach of the Holocaust was felt on British soil during WWII. Germany occupying forces had invaded the British Channel Islands in 1940, and legal measures against Jews began to be enacted later that year, culminating in deportations. This course explores the events of the German occupation and follows the experiences of Jews, political prisoners and forced labourers. It also examines the heritage and memory of these groups today
