This seminar considers civil liability in Tort, looking at general principles and in outline at Trespass to the Person, then analysing the tort of Negligence in detail. Specific Negligence problem areas and controversies are highlighted, such as the treatment of public authority defendants, and liability for psychiatric harm and pure financial loss. Finally, the tort of Private Nuisance is explored
