This weekend offers you the chance to tread the streets of Imperial Rome with Juvenal as he describes the many dangers of the big city.

You will be reading Juvenal's Satire 3, and students must provide a copy of the text and bring this with you to the course. A convenient edition of the text (with notes) is Satires 1, 3 and 10, Bristol Classical Press, ISBN 9780906515037. Or a copy can be downloaded from thelatinlibrary.com
