IPF Certificate and Diploma in Investment Education

Today’s dynamic and global economy demands strategic and carefully thought out investments. Property remains a key component of any investment and corporate strategy, and managing and growing a property portfolio requires specialised knowledge and understanding.

In partnership with the Investment Property Forum, one of the UK’s leading associations of property investors and managers, the Institute offers the Investment Education Programme, a series of professional development courses delivered by leading names in property investment and academic research. The courses provide applied and relevant up-to-date information that is grounded in current thinking and research. Courses are delivered in London.

Aims of the Investment Education Programme

  • To improve the skills and knowledge of IPF members and others  and to engage them in debate about issues affecting property investment;
  • to provide a wide range of formal education relevant to property investment, for IPF members and others in the UK and, where appropriate, abroad; and
  • to provide education for the general investment community and other relevant parties about property investment.

Those who successfully achieve the IPF Diploma can use the designation DipIPF.

Each three day face to face course is delivered at City Point, London, and supported by ICE's Virtual Learning Environment.

Students are expected to complete approximately 5 hours of preparation reading (the materials are provided by ICE about a month in advance of the course starting).

The assessment for each course comprises two pieces of written work: one in the form of a 90 minute exam on the third day of the course and the second, a take home assignment - generally in essay format - to be submitted two weeks after the end of the course.
