Madingley Minds: new blog by ICE academics

Madingley Minds is a new blog where academics from the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) write about their research, their teaching and what inspires them.

This month, Dr Ed Turner, our Academic Director for Biological Sciences, talks about the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch and other ‘citizen science’ initiatives where amateur naturalists are making a real contribution to conservation in the UK.

Every month (and sometimes more frequently) we’ll feature a contribution from a different Academic Director, on a wide range of subjects across the arts, humanities and sciences.
