Carole Talbot has worked at Aston University, Nottingham University and most recently Manchester University. Over the past 20 years she has been involved in policy research, consultancy and teaching a tUG and taught PG levels. She has also been active in supervising students on research degrees.
She has been involved in all aspects of teaching includig generating proposals for new courses and programmes. She has also developed executive education programmes in response to particularr requeasts for focussed programmes. Much recent teaching has involved supervisory work with numerous tutors working on large online modules for the full time and part time MBA. Onelin work hasbeen a large part of her core teaching.
She adopts a numvb of teaching styles with the more interactive situations being favoured with UG and PG students. The focus of her teaching has not been limited to Publlic Administration; a strong theme has been on personal development, for example, running action learning workshops with PG students and encouraging reflective practicre at UG and PG levels. These require non-directive approaches to allow students to apply new learning and reflect on their learning to support future development.
