Christopher is a member of the tutor team for the qualifications in Coaching at the Institute of Continuing Education at the University of Cambridge.
As a career professional in adult learning with experience in e-learning design and delivery, teaching in higher education settings, and coaching and leadership training, Christopher has long been a champion of student-centred learning experiences that are relevant, supportive, and flexible. He is passionate about innovation and the potential of technology to make learning more social, inclusive, and effective. While undertaking the PhD, Christopher was awarded university fellowships for pursuing innovation in multimedia learning. Later, as part of the founding team of the world’s largest online language school (EF English Live), he was twice awarded patents as the lead inventor for collaborative learning technologies. In his role as Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at EF Education First, he oversees the design of digital, blended, and immersive language and culture programs for international companies, governments, school systems, and organisations such as the Olympics. As an Ashridge adjunct faculty member of Hult International Business School, he designs and delivers executive education with a focus on intercultural communication.
Similar to his coaching, Christopher’s teaching style encourages curiosity, creativity, and reflection, inviting learners to relate new information to past experience and develop insights to explore with a critical eye. He is a keen linguist and shares his enthusiasm for language and rhetoric to help learners find their voice in academic writing, whether English is their first or fifth language.
