Rune Nyrup is a postdoctoral researcher at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, University of Cambridge. His research interests lie in the epistemology and ethics of science and technology, in particular on artificial intelligence and its application in medicine and healthcare.
His research focuses on issues surrounding bias, value-ladenness, transparency and explainability of AI systems, using conceptual tools from philosophy to better understand the nature of these problems and to propose potential solutions. He also participates in a collaborative projects at the Centre for the Future of Intelligence which scope existing approaches to AI ethics and propose directions for further research.
