Meredith Bowles is the founding Director of Mole Architects Ltd. Mole Architects has established itself as a leading practice designing low energy, contemporary buildings, with a particular emphasis on regional character. Meredith has great experience in running teams on complex projects. He has worked at all stages of design, from masterplanning through to detailed on-site decision-making, and has a pragmatic attitude that enables progress. Meredith is a Chair of the Cambridge Forum for the Construction Industry, co-deputy Chair of the Cambridgeshire Quality Panel, co-Chair of the Suffolk Design Review Panel, and was a member of the RIBA National Awards Group 2012-16. He regularly talks about design quality at industry events and has contributed to television and radio programmes. Above all, Meredith values architectural quality and the contribution each building has towards a better environment for people. In Academia, Meredith has taught at the Universities of Cambridge, Sheffiled and South Bank University. He has been a visiting Examiner in Architecture for Sheffield Hallam University, and the University of Nottingham, and is visiting Professor of Architecture at the University of Suffolk.
