Institute of Continuing Education (ICE)
Continuing education is currently one of the most exciting, prominent, and fastest moving fields in UK-based and global higher education. The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) is an established leader in the field, tracing its roots back to 1873.
The Institute of Continuing Education delivers high quality and distinctive educational programmes for adult learners, predominantly studying on a part-time basis, for either personal enrichment or professional development. For many students ICE acts as an initial gateway to higher education and onwards progression to further study. ICE aims to ensure that the expertise and resources of the University of Cambridge are made available to all students, irrespective of their previous educational achievements.
To support our growth plans and the delivery of our 2021-25 strategy, we seek to appoint a Marketing Manager who shares our commitment to supporting adults to learn at every stage of their life.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and contributing to projects and initiatives that drive student enrolment and revenue growth across ICE's diverse course portfolio. The role-holder will develop and implement the Institute's operational marketing plan and be responsible for the management and execution of student marketing campaigns across a range of digital, traditional and face-to-face marketing channels. They will manage and implement large-scale projects such as the repositioning of the Institute and will play a key role in the implementation of new technologies such as a new website and marketing enterprise solution.
The position would suit an experienced marketing professional who has previously held generalist marketing roles and experience of line management. They would also be accustomed to working collaboratively across functions to drive successful results.
A record of achievement in relevant posts within higher education would be an advantage, but most importantly the successful candidate will be commercially orientated and accustomed to working to targets and deadlines.
In return, the Institute will offer the successful candidate a significant opportunity to progress their marketing career in this vital sector, as part of one of the world's best universities. Please note that this role is currently available on a hybrid basis with the flexibility to work remotely and in our offices in Madingley, Cambridge.
Informal enquiries are encouraged and can be made to Christine Kinally, Head of Marketing (christine.kinally@ice.cam.ac.uk). Any questions about the application process may be directed to: ICEHRAdministration@admin.cam.ac.uk.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 24 July 2022. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 03 August 2022.
