From the tiny crystals that make up a volcanic eruption to the vast ice sheets that have covered our planet, we will look at our planet from the inside out! This course will introduce you to the processes that create terrestrial planets such as ours – you will learn about the forces driving plate tectonics, volcanic eruptions, climate change and biological evolution, and how to understand these processes by studying rocks, minerals and fossils. This is a 10 session course and must be taken with W410Am08 in week 4.
