Do you love reading? Want to know more about creative writing? Join us for a literary event to celebrate and discover the art of the short story in the stunning surroundings of Madingley Hall.
A day packed full of workshops, interviews and readings with the very best short story authors, critics, and publishers including award-winning writers Tessa Hadley, Dame Gillian Beer, Daisy Johnson and Sam Jordison.
This event is held as part of the ICE Summer Festival, and is brought you by the Creative Writing Centre at University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education.

Saturday 22 June: An Evening with Daisy Johnson and Guests

Join us for a very special evening curated by award winning author Daisy Johnson.

In the stunning setting of Madlingly Hall enjoy an intimate and informal ‘green room’ atmosphere with the writers and critics taking part in the festival. The evening’s entertainments will include a glass of sparkling wine, a selection of bowl foods lovingly prepared by the Madingley Hall Chefs and, of course, good company. Afterwards, Daisy Johnson will lead a discussion of Carmen Maria Machado’s extraordinary short story ‘The Husband Stitch’.
