Andrea Giraldez-Hayes

Andrea Giraldez-Hayes, PhD, is the Course Director for the MSt in Coaching at the University of Cambridge. She is a chartered psychologist, psychotherapist (BACP), coaching psychologist (BPS, EMCC Master Practitioner and ICF PCC), BPS registered supervisor, and consultant with a remarkable track record, combining academic roles with private practice. With an enduring commitment to continuous learning and professional development, Andrea has cultivated a diverse skill set over her 30-year academic career. Before joining the University of Cambridge, Andrea was the MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology programme director at the University of East London, a consultant for the Arts Education, Culture and Citizenship programme at the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture and a Senior Lecture at the School of Education (University of Valladolid, Spain). Throughout her career, Andrea has been a guest lecturer at universities in Spain, the UK, Australia, Italy, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, and Argentina. Andrea is the Chair of the British Psychological Society Coaching Psychologists Training Committee (CPTC). She is also an associate editor for publications such as Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice, the International Coaching Psychology Review and the International Journal of Coaching Psychology. Her research focuses on wellbeing arts, arts-based and creative coaching and the boundaries between coaching and psychotherapy.
