Detlef currently drives business focused Digital & Immersive Organizational Learning for Roche after a 5 year-stay in Silicon Valley where he led a global People Capabilities & OD strategy, and the Knowledge Management & Learning strategy in a large-scale multi-year transformation program with a focus on upskilling, community-social- and workflow integrated learning. Previously, he led and executed people strategies in global Learning and Organizational Development, Leadership, Talent Development and Team Excellence. Prior to joining Roche in 2004, he was Deputy Head of Corporate Learning and Adult Education in a business psychology consultancy in Switzerland. Detlef holds a Masters in Social- and Organizational Psychology, Post Grade certificates in OD/ Whole Scale Change/Strategic Change & Innovation, Executive Coaching/Global Leadership Development/Team Coaching & Advanced Facilitation & Agile/Entrepreneurship /Design Thinking from Trigon, Roffey Park UK, Scrum Alliance, Stanford University, Stanford University Graduate School of Business & Columbia Business School. He is the winner of multiple International Learning and Innovation Awards, a Judge for Brandon Hall and Chief Learning Officer Awards, Steering Committee Member of Corporate Learning Network and a Mentor at the IE Postgrade Program on Learning Leadership in Spain. 25 years of experience in Corporate Organisational Learning and in Higher Ed in Switzerland, Ecuador (PUCE) and the US (Stanford). To contribute to social causes, he established Genentechs’ SwimAcross America team during his time in Silicon Valley, a fundraising community for children living with cancer, and he founded a social-education soccer school for working children in South America.
