Andrew Kenrick has worked as a writer, archivist, editor and games developer, as well as lecturer in such varied subjects as archaeology, English literature, publishing and creative writing. He is currently the editor of the non-fiction magazine Hinterland, of which he is also the co-founder. In his own work, he writes about ancient – predominantly Roman – figures. His first full-length biography, REX JUBA, about the eponymous first-century king of North Africa, is forthcoming from Transworld.
Andrew holds an MA in Biography & Creative Nonfiction and a PhD in Life Writing, both from the University of East Anglia, where he also teaches Biography and Publishing. At ICE he teaches on the Diploma in Advanced Non-fiction, and supervises dissertations for the MSt in Creative Writing.
His teaching style involves a mixutre of small group and class discussions as well as writing exercises and workshops.
