Andrew Powlson is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where he combines clinical and research interests with an active role in medical education at the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine, as well as for postgraduate trainees.
Since becoming a college supervisor of pre-clinical undergraduates while himself a clinical student, he has developed and expanded his own teaching activities throughout his career to date. Following completion of a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education at the Institute of Continuing Education in 2017, he has worked closely with the established facilitators to help deliver and develop the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine’s Integrated Foundations of Medical Education (IFME) programme.
His other activities include providing support to the School’s Clinical Supervisor Programme and continuing to supervise his own group of pre-clinical students.
