Jessica Sharkey is a Senior Lecturer in Early Modern History and Director of Teaching at the University of East Anglia . She specialises in Tudor History and is particularly interested in Anglo-Papal relations during the reign of Henry VIII as well as the political and cultural history of early modern Europe, with an emphasis on England, Rome and France. She is currently writing a monograph on the English Renaissance Cardinalate, which builds on the doctoral work on the career of Thomas Wolsey.
