Having completed his Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) at King’s College London, Lee Soomaroo went on to complete his Medicine degree at University of Southampton. He continued his post-graduate medical education completing Fellowships in Emergency Medicine (FRCEM) and Immediate Medical Care (FIMC) leading to the position of Consultant in Emergency and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Lee has been tutoring for 4 years and really enjoys inspiring a new generation of clinicians. He has taught medical, nursing and paramedical clinicians at all levels and attained the position of Senior Clinical Tutor at University of Cambridge in 2020. He delivers facilitator activity-based sessions to encourage self-learning in the classroom through increased peer to teacher learning with activities using problem-solving skills to promote deeper topic understanding.
