Biography

Dr Rachael J Dann is a Visiting Associate Professor in Egyptian & Sudanese Archaeology at the University of Copenhagen, and Tutor in the Department of Continuing Education at the University of Oxford. She conducts research on the archaeology of death, identity, aesthetics and painterly practice. She was co-director of the International Kurru Archaeological Project which undertook archaeological research at the UNESCO World Heritage site of El Kurru in Sudan.
