Dr. Pui holds both an MPhil and PhD from the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge. With extensive experience in higher education, she has served as a lecturer, senior educational consultant, and coach, driven by a passion for supporting student learning through innovative pedagogical approaches and valuing student voices.
Throughout her career, Dr. Pui has successfully supervised over 60 undergraduate and postgraduate research theses and projects. As the Director of KnewSTEP Education Group in Cambridge, she leads a team that provides outstanding educational consulting services globally across various educational settings.
Dr. Pui is also highly experienced in GCSE and A-level education, where she offers coaching on academic pathways and career development, having worked with more than 100 students in her coaching career. She continues to contribute to the academic community as an undergraduate supervisor at the Faculty of Education, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to her alma mater.
Her research interests focus on self-regulated learning, exploring how it enhances students’ self-efficacy and academic growth. Her work has practical implications for coaching and mentoring strategies aimed at fostering student success. Dr. Pui’s interdisciplinary expertise, combined with her diverse cultural background, allows her to effectively support international students while contributing to Cambridge’s efforts toward inclusion and diversity in both academic and professional environments.
Dr. Pui is currently a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), a Fellow member of the Association for Coaching in England, a Fellow of CollectivED, and a certified MBTI Practitioner for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®.
Dr. Pui has been appointed as the Course Director for the Undergraduate Certificate in Coaching at the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE).
