Laura Cook is currently the Deputy Head of Strategic Change for NHSEI in the East of England, working across major capital builds such as the 40 new hospitals programme and the development of integrated care systems and service transformation in the region. Prior to this her experience at Royal Papworth was in the design and operationalisation of a new hospital to ensure it reflected the best models of clinical care with efficient and effective operational pathways. She has delivered many transformational change programmes, structured by strong programme and governance frameworks, in the years prior to the opening of the new hospital to ensure services could move seamlessly into their new setting. This included working with system wide partners to change regional pathways as well as outsourcing services through new service level agreements to alternative providers. Her background is in operational management and she started in the NHS nearly 20 years ago on the graduate management training scheme. Outside of work she has 4 children and a busy life!
