Lucinda Hawksley is an author, broadcaster and lecturer, whose books include biographies of the artists Kate Perugini (née Dickens), Princess Louise and Lizzie Siddal. Her other titles include Letters of Great Women; Dickens and Christmas; Elizabeth Revealed; The Writer Abroad; Bitten by Witch Fever: Wallpaper and Arsenic in the Victorian Home; Charles Dickens and his Circle; and March, Women, March: How Women Won the Vote. She is a patron of the Charles Dickens Museum in London and a patron of the De Morgan Foundation, which focuses on the works of Evelyn and William De Morgan. She is a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund and a Fellow of the RSA. Lucinda is also a travel writer, has written and narrated podcasts and audioguides and has appeared on TV and radio worldwide. Her latest book is Dickens and Travel: The Start of Modern Travel Writing (2022).
