Miranda Doyle is the author of a memoir, A Book of Untruths(2017). Collaborating with librettist Cheryl Frances Hoad, and artists Lucy Sheerman and Bettina Furnee she was commissioned to write a short piece of work/reflection for the project Even You Song, which has been performed with children and cathedral choirs across south-east England. As tutor for Cambridge University’s Institute of Continuing Education Miranda teaches both non-fiction and fiction on the Diploma and Certificate courses. She also leads writing courses for Lucy Cavendish College, London’s Writing Support Network Spread the Word, and The Faber Academy. She has received Arts Council funding for her work and was awarded a Hawthornden International Writing Fellowship in 2021.
Currently writing The Keeper on the life of lighthouse keepers, a family struck by madness, a book which asks the question: what it is to belong?
