Stella is a guest lecturer for ICE. She teaches creative writing workshops and is a host of Talking Tech with Creatives podcast.
Her debut police procedural, Deadly Sacrifice, introduces British Nigerian detective, Toks Ade, the first black female police detective in UK fiction. The novel was shortlisted for the SI Leeds Literary Prize and selected as an Audible Crime and Thriller pick. Stella has also contributed short stories to numerous anthologies, including the 2022 Anthony award-nominated Midnight Hour anthology, published by Crooked Lane Books.
She is working on book two in the Toks Ade Mystery series and is set to launch an exciting new contemporary crime series, The London House Mystery.
Beyond crime fiction, Stella has a passion for food, frequently featured in her writing. She shares her love for culinary storytelling on her blog, which reviews books and explores themes of culture, technology and creativity. Her cultural articles have been featured on platforms like Thrive Global, founded by Arianna Huffington, and other notable publications.
Stella has served as a judge for the International Thriller Writers Awards and the 2024 Jhalak Prize. She is a sought-after speaker, regularly invited as a special guest speaker for the Smithsonian Journeys Mystery Lovers England tour and leading engaging crime fiction writing workshops for aspiring writers and mystery enthusiasts.
Stella dreams of exploring the world through its diverse cuisines, immersing herself in the stories behind each dish. She has also played an integral role in the crime writing community as an inaugural Sisters in Crime UK/EU chapter member and is a Crime Writers’ Association board member.
