A Berlinale Talents and BIFA Springboard alumna, Stéphanie is a filmmaker and stage director with a love of elevated genre, especially science-fiction and supernatural and psychological horror. She grew up in rural Brittany, studied filmmaking at UCLA and now lives in London where she co-founded Frenzy Films. Her sci-fi feature debut, THE QUIET HOUR, vied for Best British Film at Raindance and the Grand Prix at Sofia International Film Festival. THE QUIET HOUR premiered on Sky Cinema and is now available on Netflix. She is currently developing a slate of film projects through Frenzy Films. Her projects, which often explore the uncanny, climate change and science, have received the support of Frontières, European Genre Forum, BiFan’s NAFF, BIF Market, Sofia Meetings and the British Film Institute.
Stéphanie is also a Director's Cut Theatre Company member and has directed at venues such as the Southwark Playhouse. She is currently working on Joanna Holland's surreal "Reverie" at the Cambridge Junction. Stéphanie also lectures on screenwriting at NFTS, LCC and the University of Cambridge. Before founding Frenzy Films, Stéphanie worked as a story editor and screenwriter for French TV and co-created the animated version of Valerian for EuropaCorp. She is represented by Zero Gravity Management in the U.S. and is a member of Directors UK and SACD (Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques)
