The Italian Renaissance opened up new perspectives of man and his world. By adopting a fresh approach to contemporary visual and documentary material, we will throw new light on the ways Italian Renaissance artists and writers initiated and responded to this new awareness, and how this was reflected in their representations of themselves and their environment: the city, the land and the sea.
