Roles have changed. Expectations are higher than ever. Demands from empowered consumers mean that long-standing businesses and brands cannot take continued success for granted. All of this impacts on the career prospects and employment experiences of professionals and entrepreneurs in today’s job market and business arena.

People management, leadership and motivation are increasingly important areas in the 21st century. To be successful in business, managers and employees must be able to retain, nurture and grow talent to deliver organisational strategies.

You may be an architect or an entrepreneur, a lawyer or an engineer, a customer services manager or a finance officer. You have possibly studied a specialist course or a relevant degree to get your career started. But whatever your goals or interests, you also need to understand and apply some of the more traditional skills of business to succeed in the 2020s and beyond.

So how can you obtain these skills?
