If you are aged 18 or over, leaving school, college or university and beginning to look for employment or taking up your first permanent job, you will be facing a number of challenges to set yourself on track for a worthwhile and fulfilling career. This also applies if you are looking to advance your career or start up your own business.

Roles have changed. Expectations are higher than ever. Demands from empowered consumers mean that long-standing businesses and brands cannot take continued success for granted. All of this impacts on the career prospects and employment experiences of young professionals and entrepreneurs entering today’s job market and business arena.

You may aspire to be an architect or an App developer, a lawyer or a human rights activist, a customer services manager or a vlogger. You have possibly studied a specialist course or a relevant degree to get you started. But whatever your career goals or interests, you also need to understand and apply some of the more traditional skills of business to succeed in the 2020s and beyond.

So how can you obtain these skills?

Our new part-time Undergraduate Certificate in Strategic Business and Management has been designed in collaboration with the Judge Business School to address precisely this need.
