Institute of Continuing Education (ICE)
Our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) allows you to study and learn online, access learning resources, and interact with your tutor and fellow students.
If you are an ICE student, you can access the VLE using the following links:
Whilst studying with ICE, it is essential to have a valid email account and regular access to the internet.
The computing facilities available at a public library or internet café may be sufficient, and unlimited free computing and internet access will be available to you within the University Library throughout your course.
You will receive a welcome email from the Technology Enhanced Learning team with full login instructions to access your course space prior to the course start date. If you have not received these instructions before the course start date please contact us via the Helpdesk.
If you did not supply an email address at the time of enrolment, or have changed your email address, please inform us by using the Change of Details Form. Your login name will be a University identifier (also known as a CRSid) supplied by the University Information Service. This will function as your user name to access electronic resources at the University Library and you will be entered onto the University’s internal electronic Lookup service as an ICE student. Please note that, with the exception of MSt students, ICE students are not eligible for a @cam.ac.uk email account.
As an award-bearing student, you are expected to submit your assignments online. Feedback on your assignments will also be delivered online.
As an award-bearing student, you will retain access to the learning resources on your course for two academic years after you have completed it.
