I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Gilbertson lab at CRUK Cambridge Institute, having recently completed my PhD studies in repurposing chemotherapeutics to treat Glioblastoma Multiforme at the University of Manchester. My reseach in to developmental paediatric brain tumours focuses on novel therapeutics that will mitigate post-therapeutic morbidity in brain cancer survivors.
I am currently based at CRUK Cambridge Institute, School of Clinical Medicine and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate projects in the laboratory, I also supervise pre-clinical graduate medical students at Lucy Cavendish College.
I am especially excited to be a tutor with ICE as my own path to academia was a non-traditional one, leaving school at 17 and entering the hospitality trade instead. I value teaching others who have embraced learning at various stages of life, and hope that my personal perspective and joy in scientific research comes across to my students.
