Prof. Zahid Pranjol has completed his PhD in Cancer Research from the University of Exeter Medical School, UK. Following on from this, Prof. Pranjol completed a postdoctoral fellowship on "Lung cancer metastasis to the brain" at Exeter Medical School. Later, he joined the William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary University to London where he worked as a research fellow on a translational medicine project investigating "Role of a novel enzyme in ET-1 physiology in diseases".Prof. Pranjol is a biomedical science graduate from St George's, University of London where he gained interest in anatomy, physiology and disease. He later completed a Masters of Science in Virology from Imperial College London and received a distinction in his research project which he published in 2 prestigious journals. Prof. Pranjol has published over 50 peer reviewed articles in international journals with several invited book chapters and reviews in both science and higher education research in the recent years.Currently, Prof. Pranjol is working as a Professor (Full) in Biomedical science at the University of Sussex where he leads on Anatomy and pathology teaching. His teaching is interactive where he encourages class collaboration and to introduce real life experiences. He has won teaching awards in three consecutive years (2020-2022) for his teaching and contribution to students welfare, and has published his teaching in a Royal Society journal.
