I am the Academic Director for Digital Skills courses (Data Science, AI, Cyber Security), with expertise in mobile and network security. I have published over 80 peer-reviewed papers, including an award-winning conference paper and a journal paper published as a patent. With 25+ years in teaching and learning, I have supervised over 15 PhD students and served as an external examiner and review panellist for several UK universities.
My research focuses on cybersecurity, mobile communications, and network security, with interest in 5G, AI, Blockchain, and Data Science. I have helped establish a Blockchain Lab and secured funding for PhD students. I promote research culture, support grant applications, and collaborate widely.
I hold a PhD from the University of Buckingham and have a background in Computing. I have led research teams, developed UG/PG courses, and worked on consultancy projects. At the University of Gloucestershire, I provided strategic leadership by positioning the Cyber Security and Digital Innovation Centre as a business-facing unit and fostering industry partnerships. I contributed to key institutional achievements, including Ofsted and NCSC accreditation.
I am a people-focused academic leader committed to student success, retention, and progression. I am experienced in change management, team development, and creating inclusive learning environments. I actively participate in national and international events to advance education and research.
