Institute of Continuing Education (ICE)
Our Virtual Summer Festival of Learning brought together participants from across the globe to study with us online. We welcomed students, professionals, life-long learners and retirees. The Summer Festival included over 85 courses and 60 talks delivered by leading Cambridge academics and invited subject specialists.
Details about future Virtual Festivals will be released in due course.
Our one-week courses are designed to introduce you to new subjects or further your studies in familiar disciplines. With over 85 courses to choose from, participants could combine a range of topics or select several in the same stream. Taught through pre-recorded sessions, each course also offered a daily discussion forum, giving participants the opportunity to share ideas with other participants, pose questions and explore the subject further.
The Summer Festival also included a series of over 60 talks providing fascinating glimpses into a variety of subjects on offer here at the University, and covering the latest research, global current affairs and a range of other topics.
We also ran a Virtual Pre-University Summer Programme for high-school students from around the world. This programme provided participants with an opportunity to explore a wide variety of subjects, while preparing for future undergraduate study at leading global universities.
