Continuing education is currently one of the most exciting, prominent and fastest changing fields in global higher education. The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) is an established leader in the field, tracing its roots back to 1873. ICE is based at the historic Madingley Hall campus a beautiful venue set in expansive grounds four miles west of Cambridge.
We seek to appoint a Student Data Assistant to support the Student Data Manager within the Institute, providing student services, maintaining accurate records and producing timely statutory returns and submissions to internal and external bodies.
The successful applicant will assist in the maintenance of accurate student data and records for both ICE non-matriculated students and for MSt students across the University.
The role holder will undertake duties to support the Student Data Manager in the enrolment of students, the provision of essential services such as their library card, and in reporting on student data and monitoring quality to ensure accurate student records for both non-matriculated students and MSt students across the University.
He/she ensures that student data is correctly maintained, providing student records and accurate and timely statistical reporting of student data for internal and external purposes (e.g. HEFCE, HESA, HE-BCI).
The successful applicant will have excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently without close supervision. You will have good interpersonal and telephone skills so as to deal in a friendly and effective way with a wide range of people, using tact and discretion. You will ideally have experience of a records related role in a Higher Education environment.
