Enrich your studies, and yourself, further by studying part-time with the Insititute of Continuing Education. We have a variety of part-time courses on offer enabling you to boost your knowledge in a range of subject areas, alongside your studies.  

Short Online Courses

Our short online courses allow you to pursue your passions or discover something new over a 7-week period. With the courses led by expert academics and no prior qualifications required, these courses allow you to indulge your interests in an ever-changing portfolio. Weekend Courses 

With both residential and non-residential places available, you can study a wide choice of subjects in the inspirational setting of Madingley Hall. Get to know your expert tutor and fellow learners in a lively classroom setting and explore the stunning grounds in your surroundings. The International Summer Programme 

Join us for a spectacular summer in the heart of Cambridge, to study as part of a vibrant, international community. With over 130 courses to choose from, you can design your own programme and study for one, two, three or four weeks. Follow a subject stream to focus on a particular subject area, or pick courses in different fields to build your own multi-disciplinary programme. 'In Conversation' events

Interested in writing and publishing? Join our 'In Conversation' events for a chance to hear from people involved in every aspect of the field. Guest speakers from across the globe talk to Cambridge tutors, covering topics about their writing routines, their worst mistakes and what it feels like to see your work in print. Our friendly, real-time Zoom meetings mean you can join from anywhere in the world and from any device. Pull up a chair and immerse yourself in this interactive, monthly, free get-together.

Madingley Hall and Gardens

Need somewhere peaceful to study? Or perhaps an idyllic setting for some fresh air and a break?  Join us in the inspiring and historic setting of Madingley Hall & Gardens to see what the stunning grounds have to offer.  

Wander around the scenic gardens, with many peaceful spots, such as the walled garden, to sit and relax around your studies. 

You can also visit the Terrace Bar, open 10am-4pm, offering a variety of comforting hot meals. This is also a great spot to bring your laptop and work on your assignments, either in one of the comfortable armchairs, or outside on the terrace overlooking the garden. With a student discount available, the cakes and coffees on offer seem all the more tempting. 

Four miles from the city centre and just off the M11 and A14 it is an ideal location if your friends or family require a place to stay that is close to Cambridge city centre. Madingley Hall is affordable, with comfortable rooms in a beautiful setting.
