We are excited to announce a new collaboration with The Open University in which students of selected ICE courses can now continue their studies by concluding a full bachelor’s degree with honours at The Open University.
Students would have needed to attain 240 credits in Creative Writing or English literature subjects at ICE, including 120 credits from Level 5 Undergraduate Diplomas in Advanced Non-Fiction, Advanced Fiction and Writing for Performance or Literature and Criticism. These individuals can then go on to apply for a BA (Hons) English literature or English Literature and Creative Writing at The Open University needing only to secure a final 120 credits to achieve their degree.
The final credits can be studied part time over two years or full time in a single year, with both courses at ICE and OU taken fully online so that learners can benefit from new flexible pathways.
Those wishing to take advantage of the initiative must apply it via the OU’s credit transfer process and supply confirmation of their Level 4 and Level 5 awards. All applications should be made in good time particularly for anyone wishing to start of the 2023/24 academic year as the final registration date for an October 2023 start date is September 7th, 2023.
Selected ICE courses include: Undergraduate Diploma in Advanced Non-Fiction (cohort 1 and cohort 2), Advanced Fiction and Writing for Performance (cohort 1 and cohort 2) or Literature and Criticism
