From its origins and early problems, including the Berlin Blockade, we assess some of the main flashpoints, such as the Korean War, the invasion of Hungary, the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam War. We consider why they occurred, their seriousness and their consequences and examine the events leading to the end of the Cold War. (Not to be taken with B12 in ISP Term I)
