Poetry is booming, and new poets are faced with an overwhelming range of possibilities, in terms of styles, subject matter, sub-genres and platforms. This course will provide students with a toolkit to help them navigate their way through, both as readers and as writers. Together with their tutor, they will begin to take a range of different poems apart to see how they work, and begin to use the techniques they discover to build their own poems.
