This course will explore the way modern astronomers go about observing our Universe, from radio waves through optical and infrared, to high energy UV and X-rays. Along the way we will encounter rapidly-spinning neutron stars, distant galaxies, stellar nurseries, dark matter, gravitational waves, violent supermassive black holes, and much more.
